Week 41

Isn't this week's fabric pretty?  It came from Momma's friend Jennifer.  I really like it because there is a big ol' fox right there in the corner.  Daddy's business is named Fox (or something like that), so I already know all about him. 

Guess what else!  My cousin's birthday is this weekend.  We are going to go and see her and eat cake.  I don't know what cake is really, I've never had sweets.  But, I think there's a good chance that Momma might let me have just a little bit of hers.

Week 40

Happy Memorial Day!  I know it's a little early but it'll be gone before I come back next week so Mommy picked this fabric.  She's pretty sure that it came from Bubby but she tossed the little label.  Silly Momma!  We are going to Koontz Lake this weekend and I can't wait.  I hope it's warm enough so I can show off my swimming skills but Momma says it's probably not going to be warm enough.  Maybe for a baby pool on the pier though!!  I'll tell you all about it next week.

You'd think I was a chunky lady from this picture.  I mean, look at my rolls.  But, I just went to the doctor and I only weigh 17.5 lbs.  I'm only in the 35% for height and weight.

Week 39

 Guess what?!!  I'll be NINE month's old this week.  Can you believe it??  Momma can't.  I think she spent all day on Mother's Day trying to squish me back into a teeny tiny baby.  Silly Momma, doesn't she know anything?  Mom picked this picture because blowing raspberries is my new favorite thing.  I used to just do it with my lips, but just this week I figured out that I could do it with my tongue too and it's way more fun.  My favorite is when someone does it back to me.  That makes me laugh.  Those big people, they are so funny.  And gullible too!!  I can't make them do whatever I want.

Week 38

Do you like my fabric for this week?  It came from our friend Natalie.  She wears red lipstick like these hearts all the time.  It's her signature color so Mommy and Grandma call it "Rosenstiel Red"!!  Mommy was sad she forgot about this fabric when it was Valentines Day but it's ok.  Everyone needs a little love in their life all year round!  Daddy is in Kansas City this week so it's just the girls at home.  Mommy and Daddy and I had the flu last week but this week is better so I think we are going to go for some walks outside in the big girl stroller.  Oh, and we are going to see Grandma tomorrow for dinner.  Grandpa is away too.  He's turkey hunting so it's really a girls week around here.  Good timing though!  It's Mother's Day on Sunday.  Daddy said that we've got something nice planned for Mommy.

Week 37

 It's finally Spring!!  It was so warm and sunny this weekend.  I watched Mommy and Daddy work in the yard.  It looks like a lot of hard work to be a grown up.  I think I'm going to stay little for a long time.  Anyways, guess what I started doing this week.  CRAWLING!  Yep, that's right!  I'm a mover and a shaker these days.

Week 36

My oh my how time flies when you are having fun!  This week's fabric came from Mommy's friend Karen.  She works at John Deere so it was the prefect pick from her.  Oh, and, she's been saving it until spring when all of the farmers are out planting for the season.  Did you know that last week we had a HUGE flood by our house?  It rained and rained and rained.  Mommy told me all about Noah's Ark and how they packed up all the animals, two by two, when it rained really hard.  I told her that it was a good thing we had too dogs to pack up in our boat. 

Luckily the rain stopped and things are starting to dry up finally.  Daddy helped Mom with her garden last night.  She's excited because she's going to put some seeds in the ground soon.

Week 35

Can you believe it?  I'm 8 months old.  I'm getting to be such a big girl. 

What's new with me? 

Let's see.  I'm almost ready to crawl.  I've been trying REALLY hard at it and I get up on my hands and knees but don't know what to do then.  I'll get it soon I think.  That doesn't stop me from getting where I want to be there.  I roll all over the place now.  Mommy put me down in my room the other day and when she came back I was half way down the hall!  Guess they need to start baby-proofing the house soon. 

What else, hum.  I still don't have any teeth.  I love to eat puffs and yogurt drops though.  In fact, if you put more than one on my tray I quickly shove them all in my mouth and start pounding my hands for more!  I've got lots of words now too.  I was saying DaDa about a month ago but now I've picked up MaMa and BaBa and DeeDeeDee.  I squeal and laugh if you toss me up in the air or turn me upside down and I love it when Daddy does "hot dog baby" and rolls me all over the bed.

See, I still like to pretend I have no neck.  You'd be hard pressed to guess it from this picture, but I'm actually pretty small.  30th percentile for height and weight.
